20130506-Mon1307 Future Now Past
Enjoy ‘Living in the past’ (ft ‘Jethro Tull’ and flutist Ian Anderson) because—nothing would be without now.
Too many say history’s only “water under the bridge.”
But known, we can see:
• squinting at the suns new brightness of dawns early sky—
that fabulous fan of contrails can’t shade your smirk—
showing us early each day that knowing is now, and how.
• sunset saturates each days passing with tremendous hues—
still damp from our brow under its noontime brilliance—
woven by contrails—our passed trails—future now past.

20130401-Mo_1122 Playing Cribbage Pro
2013-04-01 Monday: Got out of bed, took med’s, releaved myself, washed up, weighed 22 stone 12. Returning to my bedroom, I lowered the thermostat setting to its ‘low mark’.
Then I played Cribbage Pro.

2013-02-23 It is Saturday
2013-02-23 Saturday 13.58(EST)It is Saturday
This morning I weighed 23 stone 2. The caloric value of the pecans I bought last week vastly exceeds my dietary needs.
My microwave oven has been updated. So, I readily moistened and warmed rolled oats with honey and pecans. The ‘Panasonic Carousel‘ Vic brought from ‘the garage‘ replaced the (1988 date of manufacture) ‘GE Tappan Spacesaver‘ my brother was astonished I had gotten to work.
The last weather report I read had forecast rain for today. Around noontime, snow was flurrying. Last night, I imagined that forecast of rain would help remove dangerous risk from our walkways. Unfortunately, the icy regions I saw become dangerous (ane very risky to pedestrians) when the flurries leave them hidden.
I will avoid those risks by continuing my efforts to ‘upgrade‘ the Dell Precision M60 from Fedora 16 (Verne) to 18 (Circular Cow), add X11 based VPN services (for mobile access), and learn the musical facilities better.
20121218-Tu.1125 “Heads Up, For the Nearsighted!
Joen Walker‘s comments entitled “Myopia” ought to be read. Especially if you are: nearsighted, myopic, need glasses ‘all the time‘, if you’re a musician, or ‘just a nerd‘. If you are a ‘nerd’ and lack any idea of the detailed specifications for your glasses, you should locate (and copy or note) their prescription (Rx).
Before 1984, Tony Chang, an engineer from Yale, coworker, and friend brought the effects of eye excercise (or “phys-ed for vision“) to my attention. He demonstrated that it worked (even with adults – enough to surprise his practitioner).
Even though we had not been around the sun yet 24 times, this is important to our own [children and hopefully theirs].
